This unit requires the operator to plan the work, conduct routine checks, transfer loads, and shut down and secure crane.

This unit is based on the requirements of the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.

Please note that we don't have this type of crane and that we can only deliver practical part of training/assessment at client's premises and if suitable equipment is provided.

This course has niminal duration of 3 days plus assessment.

Prerequisites:

To undertake this course, you must be:

  • Over 18 years of age
  • Able to produce 100 Points of ID (See our administration team for details of these requirements)
  • From 01.01.2015. all students need to have USI. Please read more here: www.usi.gov.au 
  • Able bodied, physically capable to moving around loads and working with other staff.
  • Bring your own PPE, which includes:
    • Steel Capped Boots
    • Long trousers and long sleeve high vis shirt/jumper or vest
    • Hard Hat
    • Safety Glasses and gloves

It is not required that you hold any previous licences, but it is highly desired and advisable.

Fees and Charges

Course Cost is $1150.00 per participant, for a group of minimum of 4 candidates. Assessments fee of $300 p/p is applicable for HRW Licensing assessment.

If travel and staying overnight is required for trainer/assessors, travel and accommodation fee is applicable depending on circumstances.

This training course is GST exempt.

A $1000.00 deposit is required to be paid at booking, this fee is fully refundable if your booking is cancelled with more than 7 days’ notice.

If the booking is cancelled with seven or less days’ notice, then only 50% of the booking fee is refundable.

The balance of the course fee is to be paid at the completion of the training, prior to the assessment sessions.

Upon completion of the course, the participant will be issued with a statement of attainment in the above unit, these statements of attainment are valuable documents and need to be retained, in the event that one is lost, a replacement is available for a fee of $22.00 including GST.

Participants who do not satisfactorily complete the course in the first attempt have 90 days from the course completion to undertake a second attempt at the assessment at no additional cost.  Participants who fail in their second attempt at the course assessment, or wait longer than 90 days to undertake the second attempt will need to re-enrol into the course and pay the full course fee.

Full course fee must be paid prior to issuing official course outcome documentation (Statement of Attainment, Notice of Satisfactory Assessment/Assessment Summary). In case where we have not received the full payment, documentation will be sent via Registered Mail upon receipt of payment, at no additional cost.
