This course aims to impart the skills and knowledge required to be found competent for the unit of competency TLILIC4011 Licence to operate a slewing crane over 100 tonnes and to meet the needs for a National High Risk Licence for Operating a slewing crane with a capacity over 100 tonnes (C0 Licence).

This course will cover the following areas:

  • Planning the work
  • Conducting routine checks
  • Setting up the crane
  • Transferring the load
  • Moving the crane
  • Shutting down the and securing the crane

The above unit is nationally recognised and can only be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that complies with the governing standards of quality control and quality training and assessment. 

Upon successful completion of this course you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for the Nationally Recognised unit TLILIC4011 Licence to operate a slewing crane over 100 tonnes.  The course has a nominal duration of 7 days total. $2,800.00 or read 'Payments' page below for more pricing options.

While the course is delivered in written and spoken English, participants requiring support with the English language will be accommodated by RFJ Operator trainers to the best of our ability.

We recognise that commencing a training program can be a very stressful time for participants. Our training staff is all very experienced and will make every effort to provide you with opportunities to demonstrate your competency.

We are flexible in the format and timing of learning and assessment activities to ensure that we provide every opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills and abilities.

Candidates who have not yet had a chance to operate any cranes will be put through practical training on a smaller slewing mobile crane first, before they are introduced to cranes over 100t capacity. All this at no additional cost, at our premises.

Should you need support or assistance beyond our skills we will refer you to a suitable organisation, such as TAFE, to assist you further.

Prerequisites:

To undertake this course, you must be:

  • Over 18 years of age
  • Able to produce 100 Points of ID (See our administration team for details of these requirements)
  • From 01.01.2015. all students need to have USI. Please read more here: www.usi.gov.au 
  • Able bodied, physically capable to moving around loads and working with other staff.
  • Bring your own PPE, which includes:
    • Steel Capped Boots
    • Long trousers and long sleeve high vis shirt/jumper or vest
    • Hard Hat
    • Safety Glasses and gloves

It is not required that you hold any previous licences, but it is highly desired and advisable.

Fees and Charges

Course Cost is $2,800.00 per participant. Corporate rates and group pricing is available

This training course is GST exempt.

A maximum of $1000.00 deposit is required to be paid at booking, this fee is fully refundable if your booking is cancelled with more than 7 days’ notice.

If the booking is cancelled with seven or less days’ notice, then only 50% of the booking fee is refundable.

The balance of the course fee is to be paid at the completion of the training, prior to the assessment sessions.

Upon completion of the course, the participant will be issued with a statement of attainment in the above unit, these statements of attainment are valuable documents and need to be retained, in the event that one is lost, a replacement is available for a fee of $22.00 including GST.

Participants who do not satisfactorily complete the course in the first attempt have 90 days from the course completion to undertake a second attempt at the assessment at no additional cost.  Participants who fail in their second attempt at the course assessment, or wait longer than 90 days to undertake the second attempt will need to re-enrol into the course and pay the full course fee.

Full course fee must be paid prior to issuing official course outcome documentation (Statement of Attainment, Notice of Satisfactory Assessment/Assessment Summary). In case where we have not received the full payment, documentation will be sent via Registered Mail upon receipt of payment, at no additional cost.
